Welcome Marin McCormack! Everyone is
excited about Lacey's new baby sister, Marin. She was born on Wednesday,
April 4th at 7:30 am, weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. and measuring 20 Schoolyard Habitat Day Coming up next Friday, we will be celebrating our school and our planet Earth. Our day will be filled with many outdoor activities. We'll be planting, exploring, picnicking, cleaning and recycling. Please join us for as long as you like! Plant Unit Our plant unit continues with us looking at the stem. We're experimenting by putting white carnations in colored water. Will the color water reach the flower through the stem? If so, we will know that the stem brings life to the flower. We also measured stems in the courtyard. Good Bye Estella! Friday we say good bye to our good friend, Estella. She and her family will be moving to Tennessee. Estella's father is a scientist and will be working at a laboratory in Knoxville. We'll send Estella off with pictures and cards from us. Welcome Tuvshin! Last week we welcomed a new student, Tuvshin, to our classroom. She and her family are from Mongolia. We are really enjoying our new friend; she is very safe, kind and fair! Address and phone number Please support your child in memorizing their address and phone number. This basic information will help keep them safe. In the classroom we will be playing games that will review this information. Book Ordering On-Line April catalogs
will be available until April 28. You have the option to order the books
on line and use your credit card. Books ordered on line will still be
sent to the classroom and delivered through back pack mail. Expect to
see these orders come home on Monday. Scholastic
